Laurie Ogden

Laurie is a Northern writer and performer based in South-East London. Winner of the 2021 Ambit Poetry prize, Laurie is also a Barbican Young Poet alumna, current Roundhouse Resident Artist and a former Jerwood/Arvon playwriting mentee. She was shortlisted for the Box of Tricks and Sky Arts SCREEN/PLAY award 2020, and was a Just Some Theatre Award finalist. She was selected for the BBC Words First poetry project in 2015 and again in 2020. Her poems have been published in Anthropocene, Bath Magg, Mud Press WOMAN Anthology, Dear Damsels and on the Barbican website. She has been commissioned by the likes of Roundhouse, Barbican, Sky Arts, Barnardos and Nationwide.
